Currently on pitch mode, Inkas by Chambi is a work in progress project to imagine how it would have been if Martin Chambi would have lived during the Inka’s time and photography would have been available. Using Midjourney + Photoshop, we want to imagine portraits of all the Inka Emperors + other key people from the Inka Empire being shot by Chambi.
The following images are just mock-ups generated to conceptualize the idea, and show the Martin Chambi org, the potential of the project.
SOME INKAS

SOME CHASKIS
The chasquis (also chaskis) were the messengers of the Inca empire. Agile, highly trained and physically fit, they were in charge of carrying the quipus, messages and gifts, up to 240 km per day through the chasquis relay system. Chasquis were not just messengers (young boys served as messengers, who only passed along basic information); instead, chasquis were trained to read and translate the quipus to each other and higher authorities. Not only were they used to transport oral messages, but they also helped the inspector general, the Sapa Inka's brother, keep track of the people in the empire. Chasquis were chosen from the fittest young males and were known to be the fastest runners.
